Umina Beach Public School continues to support and foster two wonderful school bands, a Training Band and a Concert Band. Both ensemble groups consist of instruments from the brass, percussion and woodwind families. The Band program is run by the Central Coast Conservatorium of Music and students are involved in whole group rehearsals once a week in addition to small group tutorials. Throughout the year both school bands have numerous opportunities to perform at school and in the local community. Some of these events included Umina Beach Public School community events, Education Week, School Presentation Day and the Conservatorium's Annual Band Competition, where both Concert and Training Bands have received highly accomplished awards. Our end-of-year recruitment night sees numerous students who are keen to join the band program . We enjoy working closely with the tutors from the Central Coast Conservatorium and assisting our students participate in fun, musical learning.
